Will Women Be Disenfranchised? Will Homebrew2 Transform AI & The Internet?

With Lee’s genius we set the groundwork for a mobile gathering to come over the coming months in which the greatest minds of our generation plot out an alternative path to AI and the TechBro oligarchy.

We open GREEP #274 with RAY MCCLENDON from Georgia who updates us on the state of the grassroots relational organizing.

In a year when control of the Congress is up for grabs, this could make the difference between democracy versus dictatorship, as we will see in the three months going forward

From Florida ALISON GREENE underscores the need to protect women’s right to vote in a campaign where their ballots could make all the difference.

Thus the subterfuge with requiring Voter ID is tied up with denying citizens their ID and manipulating the difference between married names and the ones on birth certificates

From MIKE HERSH we hear the need to force the media to cover the hijack of a vote count that could entrench a dictatorship where America still wants a democracy.

Knocking on the door with a friend or neighbor could save this election from being bought; higher turnout amongst low propensity voters may be the key to the human future.

GETTING TO HOMEBREW2

For our 2d GREEP hour the great TATANKA BRICCA recalls the great Homebrew meetings of the 1960s and ‘70s the gave birth to the personal computer.

With LEE FELSENSTEIN we hear from the convener of those critical gatherings, and a legendary admonition that to overcome an “unsurmountable barrier” we need in fact to go around.

With Lee’s genius we set the groundwork for a mobile gathering to come over the coming months in which the greatest minds of our generation plot out an alternative path to AI and the TechBro oligarchy.

It was Bucky Fuller who called for such an alternative strategy.  In the times to come we’ll convene bi-monthly HomeBrew2s to make this happen.  JOIN US!!

“Build Our Way Around AI,” says Lee F.

“Organize Our Way into Grassroots Democracy,” adds Ray McC.

Join us at GREEP going forward to make these things happen!!!

Meanwhile we hear from MIKE HERSH  about the Turing Test and the stringing together of “the next word.”

Engineer STEVE CARUSO reminds us that AI is nothing more than “Mind Grab,” albeit a huge one, where we instead need distributed computing.

Radio host LYNN FEINERMAN reminds us that Elon Musk blames empathy and compassion for the demise of civilization.

Meanwhile, in the face of unrestrained greed, we’re reminded of Plato’s term Pleonexia for people who can never have enough.

There is no separation in the universe, adds Tatanka.  It’s all about empathy, compassion, humanitarianism.
